Train with Us
We strive to produce world class standards of student achievement and consider Springwood and WNAT staff to be the most important resource within our schools.
Springwood has a strong background of training teachers. We work with potential teachers at all points along their journey; offering School Experience Programme days through to Initial Teacher Training placements and then supporting colleagues through their Early Career and beyond.
Our most established link is with The Cambridge Partnership (TCP), for which Springwood is a Lead School, representing a group of over 30 schools predominantly in West Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire. We currently have in the region of 30 teachers working at Springwood that completed their training with TCP and many others that trained under another provider but had one of their training placements here at Springwood.
Other providers we work with include University of East Anglia, Norfolk Teacher Training Centre, Bishop Grossteste University, University of Bedford, Future teaching Scholars, Suffolk and Norfolk SCITT.
We have trainees working towards QTS on the School Direct Training Programme (SDTP), Salaried SDTP, Apprenticeship route or training towards a PGCE (via TCP or one of our HEI partners). There is a wealth of information available about each of these routes on the internet.
