Smithdon Students Support Children in Need
There were spots, cakes and photo opportunities when caring students in Hunstanton set out to raise more than £500 for this year’s Children in Need appeal.
All year groups at Smithdon High School took part in the annual fundraising event on Friday 15 November, swapping their unusual uniforms for spotty outfits, while students from Years 10 and 11 organised a charity cake sale and a themed photo booth, with the support of teacher Kayleigh Brown and Head of Science Claire Pike.
The fundraiser is a regular fixture on the calendar at the school.
“Ih the past, we’ve raised over £500,” said Deputy Headteacher Sarah Robinson. “We’d love to beat that.
“Children in Need is so important – an event that everyone recognises, and one which supports local charities that impact on the lives of our local community and the children at Smithdon.”
