Ball gowns and tractors at WNAT Prom

The graduating Class of 2024 from a WNAT school arrived in style at Knight’s Hill for their celebratory end-of-year Prom.

The Year 11 leavers from Marshland High School were greeted by family, friends and well-wishers as they arrived at the venue in a variety of vehicles, from sports cars and classic motors, to lorries, a motorbike, a camper van and even a tractor.

The students were dressed to impress for the occasion, with a colourful array of ball gowns, suits and cocktail dresses on show.

Entertainment on offer included a disco and sweets cart, along with a photo booth where party-goers could preserve their memories of the evening.

There was also a hog roast and dessert, along with welcome drinks and other refreshments.

“This is a major landmark in the students’ lives in celebrating the end of GCSEs,” said Chris Teanby, Assistant Head at Marshland. “It is a just reward for all of the hard work and effort that the students have applied to their examinations.

“The Prom provided a fantastic opportunity for all involved with the year group to celebrate their time at Marshland High School. The number of parents, carers, friends and staff from the school showed how special this year group is.

“We wish all the students the best of luck for the future, knowing that they will be successful in whatever career they choose.”
