Springwood's Vegas-inspired prom
It was Viva Las Vegas at Springwood High's Year 11 Prom, where students arrived at their end of year event to find the school had been converted into a casino.
Sporting evening gowns and suits, the Class of 2022 at Springwood - part of the West Norfolk Academies Trust - alighted from an array of different vehicles, before walking a red carpet to enter the venue, where they were greeted with champagne flutes of orange juice and lemonade.
With the help of Dick Ropa Entertainment, the school’s gym was transformed into a James Bond-worthy space, with croupiers attending Blackjack and Poker tables.
There was also a Vegas-themed instant-print photo booth, complete with props for the 200 students to use, and a ‘Cash Grab’ machine, which challenged party-goers to catch ‘money’ while a fan was blowing. Meanwhile, the drama studio became a nightclub, with a DJ, disco lighting, and a smoke machine for the dance floor.
The celebrating students had designed their own menu for the night, and dined at tables decorated with balloons supplied by Balloon World. Other balloon displays included a giant arch and two columns proclaiming ‘Class of 2022’, while a sparkly wall provided a suitable backdrop for glitzy photo opportunities.
