Pupils at Gaywood Primary School donated money to wear red on Friday last week and the School Council held a Bake Sale.

The sale, which was successfully introduced for the fundraising event last year, took place in the playground at breaktime, with parents and staff providing cakes and biscuits to raise further money for the charity.

Meanwhile, over at Walpole Cross Keys Primary School, pupils also donned red outfits.
Older children at the school further boosted funds by running a stall which challenged staff and fellow pupils to guess the number of sweets in a jar and to guess the teddy’s name.
“We also had an assembly talking about the good work that Comic Relief Red Nose Day does, to continue to raise awareness,” said Billy Overton, Assistant Head at Walpole Cross Keys.
There were also red noses all round, when staff and students at Smithdon High School took part in Comic Relief’s annual appeal.
The Student Council organised a non-uniform day as part of the Hunstanton school’s celebration with participating students each paying a suggested £1 donation.
Other fundraising activities at the school included a Comic Relief Cake Sale.
Operating during break and lunchtime, the stall saw cakes and biscuits made by the students and their friends and family sold in support of Red Nose Day.
